Negarin SS13 London Fashion Week Collection
Negarin’s SS13 collection continues the brands love affair with travel and practical clothing.
This season Negarin travels back in time to revisit the late 60’s with a touch of the 30’s. Inspired by the empowering women of these eras, this collection focuses on clean, confident and versatile shapes in shades of Milk, Mushroom, Pale Turquoise, and Periwinkle. These fresh and sophisticated tones are brought to life with injections of earthier Lobster tones. For the first time, the palette is translated into a
fluid and soft-coloured hyper-real balloon print. A minimalistic top in the balloon print worn with Milk colour capri trousers gives a playful effect. Negarin’s second print is her traditional deco mosaic which combines soft pales with Periwinkle and Lobster. A mosaic print A-shape dress with a wide mandarin overstitched collar represents the adaptation of these inspiring eras into modernity.
For SS13 shapes are charming, giving a nod to the whimsical mood of the 1960’s and the 1930’s. Pin tucking, top-stitching, notched sleeves and collars further reflect Negarin’s obsession with intricate detailing. Silk ruff collar and modern overlapping chelsea collared blouses, triple-collar cotton shirts, and crepe elongated tie collar shirts can be worn with elegantly tailored mid-calf slit skirt, printed or in solid
A new addition to the brand, silk and cashmere geometric intarsia knits, accent the focus on high quality and cohesiveness of the collection. Worn with elegantly tailored trousers, shorts and skirts offer the sophisticated and empowered look.
A mercury finished crepe de chine long dress with an elegant shoulder knot accentuates the flapper spirit of the 30’s and sets the mood for Negarin’s dress collection. From pin-tuck-waisted silk dresses, and soft knotted silk dresses to strict and crisp modern stretch cotton and linen A-line dresses, the savvy and confident style of the 60’s and 30’s is innovatively interpreted.
Wool-mix jacquard, modern seersucker and linen cotton mix jackets play with trapeze-shapes, raglan sleeves and funnel collar detailing, yet offer a clean minimalistic blazer design.
A water resistant Periwinkle and Mushroom cotton rain mac and a stretch cotton summer coat in pale tones finish the cohesive and smartly structured 34- piece collection.
